Today, after our Valentine's Day party, Kylie approached me with a piece of candy and said, "Here mama. This is for being a good girl at the party."
At a restaurant the other night, I was rolling Kylie out the door in her stroller. I temporarily set her sippy cup on her shoulder. She said, "Heeeeeey, now I'm a pirate!"
Mom was looking at baby pictures with Kylie the other day. She told Kylie that was when she was a little baby. Kylie said, "Yes, I was a little sweet heart."
Kylie has had a glorious time this Valentine's season! She had a party at her school, where she acquired many tattoos. She came home, poured out all her loot and showed me each Valentine. Today, we hosted a Valentine's party at our house for the Mom's Club. She is especially enjoying all the candy.

Spiteful
The other day, Kylie "tooted" in the bath tub. I asked, "What was THAT?" She said, "That was a burp from my belly!"
Yesterday, Kylie was "pretend reading" her Cinderella book. I was listening and overheard, "There is the meeeeean and spiteful stepmother. And there are the stepsisters. They are mean, too, They are boogers!!!"
Kylie and I were in the car and Kylie was eating a Scooby Doo fruit snack. She said, "Wilma was on Scooby Doo." I said, "She was??" She said, "NOT!"
We went to the Morris Museum of Art yesterday for their toddler time. This time it was all about sculpture. She then sculpted what she described as, "The bridge from the 3 Billy Goats Gruff." Kylie is very interested in "sugar bugs" and brushing them off of her teeth. I told her that the troll in her Billy Goats Gruff book never brushed his teeth and now she asks me all the time which foods are good for her teeth. She references the troll and his yellow, cracked teeth most often.
Kylie has now been 3 days in her big girl panties. We are hoping that this is it!!

Tooted
This morning, as Kylie ate breakfast, she let out a big ol' toot. She looked at me and said, "Goodness gracious! Was that YOU?"

Art Museum
Last night, Kylie woke up screaming. I went into her room and she pointed to the corner and said, "Tarantula!!!" Trust me, there was no tarantula.
Today, Kylie kept saying there were bees in her ear. I took this as a sign that perhaps she had an ear infection, and I was correct! An ear infection in both ears....so now she's pumped up on antibiotics, benadryl, tylenol and triaminic. Poor kid. She's in a pretty decent mood, though.
We went to the local art museum the other day. It was a really neat program, in which they took the toddlers through the museum, read a book while gazing at the abstract art, and then let them paint their own abstract art on a small canvas. I'm definitely going to go to this every month, as they do a different theme each time. The next theme: Roosters Rule the Roost. I'm not really sure what this will entail, but how could you go wrong?

Fairest of them All!
Today, Kylie was marching around the house saying, "Who's the fairest of them all? Kylie, Kylie! Who's the fairest of them all? Kylie, Kylie!!" She's in a major Snow White phase. :)

Princesses go for a Ride!
Yesterday, Kylie loaded all of her plastic Disney princesses into the back of her Cozy Coupe and started driving them around the house. She said, "Come on, princesses! We're going to WalMart to get SuperGlue! Okay, now we're going to the Fresh Market to get dinner." One unfortunate princess (Sleeping Beauty) was having to ride sticking out of the gas tank....just not enough room in the Cozy Coupe for everyone. Later, she was playing with the princesses and I overheard her saying in a small, princess voice, "Thanks for picking me up, Kylie!"
We went to see "Alvin and the Chipmunks" today at the theatre. It was not as wonderful as "Princess and the Frog," the first movie Kylie went to see at the theatre, but she still enjoyed it. I would not want to sit through it again!

Rocket Dance
Kylie climbed into the crib at my mom's house and started jumping up and down, holding Baby. In a high-pitched voice, she said, "Kylie, you'd better stop! You're going to fall down!" Then in her normal voice, she said, "No, Baby! I'm just doing my rocket dance!!!"
Kylie was playing with some staples and cut herself. I didn't notice until after she had been banging on my mom's paino keyboard and covered the keyboard with blood. Nice! She later looked at her cut and said, "I need to go to the hospital!"
Tonight, I was reading Kylie a bedtime Bible story about God creating the world. At the end, I quizzed her with the question, "Who made the world?" Her answer, "Santa!" Hey, I'm trying!
